Just A Friendly Reminder…
Did we recommend a dental treatment during your last visit to our office, but you have yet to schedule the appointment? Here is a friendly reminder for you or a loved one that may be in need of a recommended treatment to schedule your appointment today. Even if this does not apply to you, there is no time like the present to schedule your next oral hygiene examination and cleaning. Delaying recommended treatments and postponing routine dental care can lead to serious complications with your oral health. Read on to learn more.
Avoid a Dental Emergency
We are passionate about routine dental care because it is an opportunity for us to check your teeth for any problems, such as dental decay, gum disease, and oral cancer. If you visit our office for a routine visit every four to six months as recommended, we are able to spot problems in the early stages and recommend treatment be scheduled immediately. When you avoid or postpone appointments, the problem area in your mouth will continue to progress and worsen. Unfortunately, problems in your mouth will always worsen until you get treatment. This increases the risk of experiencing a dental emergency.
What to Do in a Dental Emergency
If you or a loved one experiences a dental emergency, the most important thing to do is remain calm and assess the situation. No matter the type of dental emergency, we recommend calling our office, and our team can help determine if you need an immediate appointment. If there has been trauma to the mouth, it is important to determine if teeth are missing or extremely damaged before calling the office. If you are experiencing dental pain or discomfort, it can be helpful to take an over-the-counter pain reliever while you are waiting for your appointment.
If you have any questions or concerns about your oral health or are in need of scheduling an upcoming appointment, be sure to contact our office located in The Woodlands, TX. We are happy to help with any oral health problems you or a loved one may have.
