What to Expect During Your First Visit to Our Office
At Edward Estrada, DDS, we always welcome new patients with open arms. We know that coming to a new dentist’s office can be a little nerve-racking and overwhelming, especially if the dentist isn’t your favorite place to visit. Our goal is to have you leave our office feeling like we are old friends. We also want to stress that we are not concerned with the current state of your oral health or the last time you visited a dentist. We want you to feel comfortable from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave our office.
We ask that our patients try to arrive about 15 minutes early for their appointment. We want to give you a warm welcome and show you the hospitality you deserve. We don’t want you to feel rushed if you are running behind. One of our team members can help you fill out the new patient forms, and then you are escorted into a patient room where we will review your medical and dental history. This is a perfect time to share any medications or other health matters that we should be aware of. We will also discuss if you have any immediate dental concerns or have any expectations about your oral health moving forward.
The Hygiene Examination
Your first visit will include a thorough cleaning, a full-mouth series of dental X-rays, a soft-tissue exam, and an oral cancer screening. Dr. Estrada will review the digital X-rays with you to discuss any concerns or treatment plans that he would recommend for the immediate future. He will also be sure to discuss your long-term dental goals or any cosmetic dental treatments, such as teeth whitening, that you might be interested in.
We want our patients to leave our office with a thorough understanding of their current oral health and the treatments that we recommend. We want your smile to be properly functioning and able to last a lifetime.
We are thrilled and excited to welcome you to our family at Edward Estrada, DDS, located in The Woodlands, TX. If you have any additional questions prior to your first appointment, please contact the office. We are looking forward to meeting you soon!
