Life Has Been A Little Different This Past Year
We can all agree that life has been a little different this past year. It has been an adjustment to navigate the new way that we see family and friends, the way we work and attend school. Many of us have put more of an emphasis on hygiene and physical safety. That being said, we know that some of our patients feel a certain hesitation when thinking about scheduling their next routine dental hygiene exam or treatment, and we want to ensure everyone that we have a number of safety precautions in place. Continue reading to see why we encourage you to maintain your regular dental care during this time.
This has been a challenging time for all to understand what is safe and what should be avoided. We are here to tell you that our office is safe and we encourage you to schedule your next appointment if you have been waiting or delaying treatment due to unease. The mouth is a gateway to the body and it is so very important to maintain proper oral health as the first step in not only avoiding costly dental repairs, but also for your overall health.
During a routine exam we not only perform a cleaning to remove any plaque or tartar buildup, but we also inspect the mouth for any potential problems. During the inspection, we can detect issues related to:
- gum disease
- tooth decay
- oral cancer
When dental care is delayed or ignored, minor issues can turn into potential nightmares for your mouth and your wallet, not to mention that many dental issues can lead to further health problems such as diabetes, heart disease, and autoimmune diseases.
We understand that there can be some anxiety around visiting our office during this time, so we want to ensure you that our office is taking every safety precaution to maintain the safety of both our patients and staff.
If you have not scheduled a routine exam within the past 6 months, we would love to hear from you soon. When scheduling your appointment, if you have any safety concerns or questions, please let us know. We are more than happy to help you feel comfortable on your next visit. We look forward to seeing your smiling face in our office located in The Woodlands, TX soon.
